Someone talk me into a .204……LOL This .223 I have now is way to much for fox. LOL

well looks like I am gonna go with the 204. LOL

I have owned and used both the 22′s and loved them. The hornet was a great fox gun, the 250 to much for them. That was several years ago however, didn’t have the different bullts to shoot then.

I am old school however…..lol Gonna be hard to go with a gun I am not familiar with. Please keep the replies coming. I wanna hear or read all I can about these.

Mike Flick Carry a 12 guage for close ups loaded with bb shot. the rest take out with a 243. Making 400 yard shots work in the wind is a science, and takes lots of practice and experamenting with differant grains of bullets. Good luck Bruce!

Reply by Bruce Roady a 243 is to much gun for fox. We don’t have many left and I sure don’t wanna waste them when they come running to a call.

The 204 out shoots the 250 for the most part. Inside and up 250 yards, the 250 has more whack. past that the 204 stays flatter and retains more energy. I would not have believed it myself but I have talked to and read enough over the past several days to believe it now. The only thing about any of the 20 cal guns is they are almost as finicky about ammo as alot of the 22 cal guns. From what I am being told and reading anyway. I guess i am gonna find out soon enough.

I decided on the Handi-rifle. A much less expensive gun and one that will allow me to find out if I like that cal. If I don’t I can resell it for real close to what I pay for it. Or if I decide to go to a bolt action gun, I won’t be out alot of money on the first one. Simply a shooter, nothing fancy, but that suits me just fine.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC)
Coastal Wildlife Conservation Initiative is holding public meetings
in Marathon on Nov. 8 and 9.

The Coastal Wildlife Conservation Initiative is a new,
comprehensive strategy for approaching wildlife conservation issues
in the coastal areas of Florida.

Those with interests or a stake in coastal issues in Monroe
County are encouraged to attend the Marathon meetings.

For convenience, the FWC will hold two sessions; both will be
the same format, and participants can attend whichever is more
convenient. The Nov. 8 session is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.; the
Nov. 9 session is from 9 a.m. to noon. Both meetings will be at the
Marathon Garden Club, 5270 Overseas Highway.

Attendees are asked to >register online in advance of the meetings. Go
to MyFWC.com/Conservation, select "Coastal Wildlife Conservation
Initiative," then "Register."

FWC staff will present an overview of the initiative and its
partnership strategy and ask attendees to identify pressing coastal
conservation issues in their area and discuss gaps in research,
education, management and regulation that stand in the way of
resolving those issues.

"The CWCI's vision is to ensure the long-term conservation of
native wildlife in coastal ecosystems throughout Florida in balance
with human activities," said Blair Hayman, CWCI coordinator.
"Critical, immediate, as well as long-standing coastal wildlife
conservation issues could be addressed more effectively through the
cooperative efforts of a partnership rather than by individual
agencies or entities," she said.

For more information on the >Coastal Wildlife Conservation Initiative visit
MyFWC.com/Conservation or contact Blair Hayman, at 386-758-0525 or

Evansville Indiana Bat Trapper

Bats are usually trapped for one reason today and that is for the biological study usually done by Universities or government research agencies. Bat traps are not usually used in most parts of the United States for the removal and management of invading bat species in a home, commercial or industrial structure. Many professional bat removal and bat control companies or bat pest control companies often use the latest techniques of bat management that include a meticulous bat inspection, followed by either the placement of bat exclusion devices and or, bat netting and then successfully identifying and sealing up all access and exits points. Homeowners often realize that getting rid of bats in attics, chimneys or other parts of their home is very difficult and sometime even dangerous work . It is impossible to simply remove the bats from a home with out having the home sealed properly to prevent the next bat colony infestation.

Please call for Evansville Indiana Bat removal, Evansville Indiana bat control, Evansville Indiana bat exclusion or Evansville Indiana bat management services.

Bird poop, and the need to remove and cleanup up bird feces or bird droppings quickly can become a concern and can quickly change the appearance, even the smell of a home or business establishment.

The coyote although resembling a dog should always be treated like any other wild animal and should never be trusted around any pets or small children. In a urban environment coyotes often become rat, mouse and rodent hunters, and will readily take down a domestic cat or small dog for a next meal. We offer safe, humane coyote trapping using a variety of coyote trapping techniques according to local and state laws.

The most reliable coyote trapping methods involve the use of footholds, cable restraints, snares, and the collarum. Cage trapping coyotes has been proven to be very time consuming, expensive and rarely will catch the problem coyote and just curious juveniles nearby. Please call for urban coyote trapping, Evansville Indiana coyote removal or Evansville Indiana coyote control.

Bats & Rabies

Also known as hydrophobia is a viral zoonotic neuroinvasive disease that causes acuteencephalitis (inflammation of the brain) in mammals. It is most commonly caused by a bite from an infected animal, but occasionally by other forms of contact. If left untreated in humans it is usually fatal. In some countries it is a significant killer of livestock. The rabies virus makes its way to the brain by following theperipheral nerves. Theincubation period of the disease depends on how far the virus must travel to reach thecentral nervous system, usually taking a few months. Once the infection reaches the central nervous system and symptoms begin to show, the untreated infection is usually fatal within days. In the beginning stages of rabies, the symptoms are malaise, headache, and fever, while in later stages it includes acute pain, violent movements, uncontrolled excitements, depressions, and the inability to swallow water (hence the name hydrophobia). In the final stages, the patient begins to have periods of mania and lethargy, and coma. Death generally occurs due to respiratory insufficiency.

For More on Info on Rabies http://www.cdc.gov/rabies/docs/brochure-bats_and_rabies-full.pdf

Bats are one of the best natural means of insect control and simply killing bats to correct a bat problem and in the case of endangered bat species illegal by federal and state law.

We know how to trap , we know how to get rid of bats we are professional bat exclusion specialists. We also provide Bat Removal Services.

Most nuisance bat problems are the result of poor home maintenance or neglect by the builder. Builders have little knowledge of how to prevent the entry of bats , and just because a home is water tight for rain does not mean bats, birds and other wild animals can not gain access to your home. We provide a very thorough inspection of your home and in addition to identifying a bat problem and corrections we also will inspect your entire property and suggest changes to the habitat on your property in addition to looking for bat access points.

We provide bat exclusion services that actually do no harm to bats and allow bats to leave an not regain access to your home, business, barn etc and never actually have to handle the bats.

Bats & Maternity

In most species of Chioptera, or Bats the female bats usually have only one offspring per year. A baby bat is referred to as a pup. Pups are usually left in the roost when they are not nursing. However, a newborn bat can cling to the fur of the mother and be transported, although they soon grow too large for this. It would be difficult for an adult bat to carry more than one young, but normally only one young is born. Bats often form nursery roosts, with many females giving birth in the same area, be it a cave, a tree hole, or a cavity in a building. Mother bats are able to find their young in colonies of millions of pups. Pups have even been seen to feed on other mothers’ milk if their mother is dry. Only the mother cares for the young, and there is no continuous partnership with male bats.

Many laws are in place or being put into place in order to protect the continuation of bat species. For many years very little law or regulation was in place and we have seen a decline in bat populations die to bats being removed from homes and their young pups left to die unable to fend for themselves. Maternity periods are related to the latitude or how far north your state is in North America. Typically southern states start earlier and northern states start later.

Choosing to go ahead and have bats completely removed or excluded from a home during maternity season is a very poor decision. Motherless pups wander homes in the absence of their mothers searching for them and usually end up all over the homes attic and wall voids and die. Imagine large someone sticking five pounds of ground beef in various spots around your home rotting and the expense of replacing the walls, insulation and deodorizing your home. Removing all bats, and their young during a maternity season is at most a dice throw and the homeowner often becomes the loser and at a considerable expense.

Listen to your bat professional, let them inspect your bat infestation and determine the best time of year (Before April-May and After July-August) . State laws often dictate safe periods but a visual inspection and counting flights is often the best guide to determine when the pups are flying.

Example: A bat colony which typically has fights of 90 or so bats leaving a home nightly begin to jump to numbers closer to 180. This would indicate a maternal colony of 90 and then a pup for each mother flying. Actual numbers will fluctuate daily and a week or so after an increase in flight sizes is normally the best time to have a complete exclusion of your home. An inspection by a professional is always best before attempting any exclusions.

Bats Myths & Facts

However, bats do not belong in our homes and buildings and this web site is designed to help you understand bats and discern yourself from the many myths about them and finding a qualified professional from the many snake salesmen out there with gimmicks to take your money and laugh all the way to the bank. We know how to get rid of bats by bat proofing your
home, building or structure.

Facts:

1. Bats both large and small are insectivores. Each bat on daily night flight can consumer about 1000 insects an hour or roughly 6000-8000 insects each and every night. This is simply the best natural pest control we have on earth and every bat if handled properly can be returned back to the wild and help us keep all the bug populations down.

2. Bats are not vampires and there is no reaosn to fear them. Myths have been running around for centuries that they can become entangled in your hair and it is far from the truth. Bats have a built in sonar like capability called echo location and can in mid flight remove a tiny mosquito flying. They also know exactly where you are and will avoid any contact with you. They may get close to
your face but they are not trying to harm or frighten you.

3. Bats are flying mammals and live in colonies if you see a bat resting I am confident a colony is also near by in your attic, soffits, behind shutters or even the hollows of a tree.

4. Bats will bite if handled. They have tiny razor like sharp teeth and should only be handled by a trained professional wearing gloves and exercising care in their handling.

5. Bats are not blind. They are however very light sensitive and are nocturnal mammals.

Please call us for a bat inspection of your home today and make your home bat free today.
